1988 Ram 50 2.6 with air jet valves, 130k miles. I would like to know what no jet valve heads swap directly on to mine so I can start a search. I want simple, no strange parts to adapt or search for. Need my manifolds to fit the new head. No gasket interference, water or oil hole or cam problems. I only want to do this once. The simpler the better. The cheaper the better. Thanks.

I got mine BARE from "ODESSA Cylinder Head" On Ebay for 280.00 shipping included!! Just swapped my stuff over with lapping in the valves myself and sending the cam off to Schnieder racing cams for the 'mid' grind 274. and springs.
Ported it myself and bolted it in.
It's basically a Clearwater head. NO jets, thicker to resist cracking, and NO 30+yrs of crap in the EGR passages.. (which I blocked with 1/4" pipe plugs)

Hope this helps.

The odessa / clearwater heads are the way to go - the caravan heads are no where near as good as the aftermarket heads. Also go to www.b2600.com (http://www.b2600.com) for important info on the oiling mods needed to prevent oil starvation to the valvetrain on these heads.

Best value period is this head. My buddy and I rebuilt his 89 Conquest using this head. It been almost a year and he has had zero problems.
