wobbly front end and slight vibration over 50?

Lower control arm bushings - they wear oval shaped and cause the arm to move back and forth. Also replace the strut rod bushings and check the upper control arm bushings. Bushings are available in urathane to give a firmer bushing and longer life.

Energy suspension makes some, plus some others I think. Just go on google and search "energy suspension mighty max control arm bushings" and a bunch of hits will pop up.

Should I just go all out and replace all my bushings, struts and everything? I can't even go down the main highway in bonney lake and it's only 45 without wobbles. I'm hoping new tires will make a better ride

If you can afford it might as well do them all, it isn't that much really. But if not then do the strut rods atleast too

I will look into that. I was under the truck today just comparing to my brothers mazda b2600 4x4 that my setup suspension wise is better besides I have weak torsion bars. Is that true with these trucks? Should I upgrade those soon? if so what can I replace them with?

The 4x4's have good choices for bushings, the 2wd have next to nothing to work with.
Check ebay for 4x4 "energy suspension" kits.
I can't believe how primitive the 2wd front suspensions are. I've got 1965 Corvair with the exact same front suspension as my 1983 Royal turbo diesel 2wd. Used my Vair tools to rebuild the front suspension with burly new coils.

Hey guys. So Im trying to tackle changing out the lower control arm bushings. It seemed fairly straight forward. I unbolt the one side and the two bolts on the other and I pull out the bolt somehow. My question is where should I be jacking this thing up to free it? Should I have the wheel off or can I just get under there and change them? I dont want to fuck myself over but it seems too easy that Im missing something. Thanks.

you're 1/2 way there.You need to jack up the truck and carefully lower the control arm. you can pull the back side bushing after you get the bolt out,then lower the control arm and pull the front side bushing out.Clean the inside of the control arm,grease,install front bushing,lift control arm up,install back bushing,Install bushing bolt and tighten everything. I just put in the energy suspention ones in a few days ago.Just put some jack stands just in front of the tranny X-member and let all the pressure off the front springs, you might have to undo the shock as well.
