well my grandpa bought this truck new off the lot in 88, he drove it around town pulling a trailor and all over their land down in folkston ga. So beings im 24 now its been around my entire life. its the first truck i ever drove. my grand pa died about 7 years ago and left me the truck and a small car tralor. well at the time all i knew about customization was i wanted a mini truck. so i bagged the back and lowered the front not long after. it worked but it wasnt the best lookin thing. i drove it around the block a few times and parked it unsatisfied with the results. i parked on the trailor and it sat for a few more years. untill i tried my hand at it again. re did the 4 link to a pete and jakes. still unhappy i put it pack on the trailor and there it sat untill this summer, i met up with my buddy josh, who ownes a little shop called draggers alley. well wanting to do as much as possible with good guidance, instead if jumping all in and building a full frame for this thing i just did a backhalf and bagged the front for now. any ways enough talk

You should use the goo stuff they use on new BMW's, they tack weld everything then a robot comes along and applies this stuff (I have no idea what it is) to the body panels and it's glued together. It's some bad ass shit what ever it is. Go look under the fender of a new car. I bet it's made in China so we should be able to figure out what it is. Once you have it structurally welded glue it....
This truck is going to look nice when done..

thanks sergio, not much more progress this last week or so. moving into a new place and my dog was in the hospital.crazy week needless to say.
and idk about glueing my bed together. ill stick to good old fashion welds. might have sounded like i was complaining but in all honesty nothing is more fun to me than doing fab work.....ok maby layin sparks at a hi rate of speed :) but thats a given

For some reason, I think your grandpa loved his truck more then what anyone knew and giving it to you has carried on his legacy exactly as he planned. He must of knew that you would be the best person to own what he really enjoyed and treasured. You got more then a truck there, you have your grandpa too, so cool!
