i have a 1990 ram 50. fuel pump never shuts off. replaced pressure regulator. still has same problem. i am figuring its the computor but wondered if anything else could cause this. truck will start and dies.

If it's fuel injected the relay is sticking. It should be located above the fuse panel. Can you here it running after you shut the truck off. If yes it's a stuck relay. If no then you can have leaky injectors.

the truck will start but dies immediatly it will not actually run. the fuel pump never shuts off. it will run till you turn the switch off and fills the cylinders full.

the fuel pressure switch mighty be stuck. AND OR the regulator is not working correctly AND OR the cold start injector is stuck. Look in the manual section> 216 manuals> montero and mighty Max truck. there is a full manual that can help you figure out what to look at. It's a start any way. But I would guess one of the FI guys will jump in here with more info to think about.
