Has anyone ever swapped a 4d55t diesel engine into a 2nd gen Mighty max? I'm a bit curious about this swap ;] what would be needed to swap over? Mine's a 88 2.0 g63b 5 speed single cab and a diesel in it would be pretty awesome!

looks like we got the same truck.. coincidentally I considered it too about a year and a half ago when my piston rings got toasted in my g63b. I woulda went for it but "legally" in Cali we cant swap a motor older than the actual truck. there woulda been ways to do it but I just paid 2 stacks and got my original rebuilt top to bottom.

however, in TX ur laws and DOT dept. are very lenient and u can get away w/ a lot more shit than we can. I'd say go ahead and do it and best of luck w/ it..those diesels are good motors, especially '84-'85 year. Anyways, I know Recian is currently doin a 1st gen diesel swap but its not into a 2nd gen but into another 1st gen. hopefully he'll chime in if he can help.

Awesome, I mean if not I'll just rebuild my g63b and add a weber carb and exhaust stack lol. Good thing I live in TX we do get away with alot more.

lol yeah that works. these lil g63b motors are fairly easy motors to work on. stacks on a lil 2.0L? im curious to hear the sound of it. haha
however, exhaust stack on a turbo diesel...FTW!!
