I have been searching around the internet for an oem exhaust manifold. Not an easy task let me tell you. My manifold is cracked and makes a clicking noise every time I accelerate. Any help on this would be great. Thanks in advance.

Check for a recall on the exhaust manifold. My 89 MM had 2 recalls which the exhaust manifold was one and seatbelts were the 2nd. Manifold are casted with inferior metals and seem to always crack inside at the collector.

It appears that only the mighty max had the recall. When I did the search, I came up with only one 1989 Dodge Ram 50 recall, which was a seat belt. As for a tri-y as an option, way to expensive. I barely spent 500 dollars on the truck itself.

If its worth your time then you could pull the manifold off and take it to a good machine shop and have them weld it up. I had a cast iron block welded by the welding instructor at the local community college for free.

Gawd, I had a brain fade while typing in the year of my truck above in thread. My truck is an 86 Mighty Max and not an 89. Sorry folks...my bad! completely.
Though the recalls on the 86 are true the year I listed as my vehicle was wrong. (lowering head in shame)
PS. My Toyota MR2 is an 89 and that is my excuse, lol

^ lol. shit happens  btw, i did google up the recall issue and da only thing that came back to my truck was da seatbelt buckle issue.. seems like a lot of our trucks had this problem.

These were sold on the Aussy ebay site and were shipped in less then 7 days to the states $180 shipped. Though I had to have mine reworked a bit to not bump the floorboard under passenger side floor. This is shown on my repair thread link.

can't you add a high cell count catalytic converter on the header to make it legal in california

for a header to be street legal in Cali it has to have a CARB# on it.. same goes for any other aftermarket parts like CAI or short ram, catalytics, mufflers, carburetors, etc.
of course u can run an aftermarket header like this one w/out it being carb legal, but it becomes a real problem if a cop asks u to pop the hood.
