trans compatability

So I think I've got pressure problems with my 94's trans. I'm curious what transmissions will fit? I have a 2.6L driveline that runs great with 27k at home in a 1st gen I could swap the whole thing into the truck. Swap pedals, cable plate(on firewall) engine, trans and driveshaft to the 94. Or does the trans fit the 2.4? I also know someone else with a 2.0L auto. Will they work?

2.6 trans will bolt to your 2.4

That's sweet. I know I've heard about swapping to 5-speed being a pain but dont first gen 5-speed pedals fit in a 2nd gen auto better than 2nd gen 5-speed pedals?
