I've been posting in other sections, but figured I'd do an brief intro here.

89 Ram 50 long bed, with the 2.6L

Had some grey bedliner sprayed in. Did a bunch of cleaning, some maintenance. Ac blows ice cubes, which is fantastic down here in the summer, and spring, and fall.....

Look at that, remembered to flip my ipad the other way around while taking the photo ;)

Reupholstered the seats in 8 wale corduroy. Nice and heavy duty stuff, from the UK. A friend that runs an upholstery shop did it up for me for around $100 I do need to have the head rests redone though, if you saw the under side of them, they are horrid.

Redid the carpet as well. Went with the stuff that has the heavy rubberized backing to help cut down on road noise. Install of this stuff went pretty easy. There is an area back up behind the pedals that I trimmed a bit too much on, but not noticeable unless you are under there.

Spray in bed liner. I had a hard time finding a place that would do something besides black. The last thing I want here in Texas is more black parts on a car. All the grime in it is from the branches you see in the first shot, they were in there for about 6 months as it sat uninspected.

Got a manufacturer and part number? My cab is so noisy. I'm going to add sound deadening panels when I replace the carpet, too. I can barely hear my stereo or my girlfriend talking when we're on the freeway, it sucks.

Also bought matching floor mats from them for another $70 or so. Figured why the hell not.

Installation was way simple. Pretty much just take their carpet, let it set for a bit to get flattened out. Preferably in the sun if you have some to spare. Then set your carpet on top of it. Mark where the holes and what not are and then just cut away. I cut the holes a bit undersized just to make sure everything was snug. Then it's just a matter of trimming the edges up. Be careful though if you're using a box cutter or razor or what not for cutting. This stuff cuts easy once you get going on it. Almost zipped a couple holes too big. I'd recommend heavy scissors if ya have em.

Yeah I wanted to do something nice there. Cost me about $400 to get the corduroy over from the UK. Everything over here was like half the thickness, and for a car seat you don't want thin material. Then the cost to reupholster it. My only grip was the guy really screwed up the headrests. He carved up the foam for some reason, instead of just covering them. So if you look at them closely you can see they're lop sided.

I'll need to get some new ones and have them redone.

235/45-17 on an mb72 8.5" wheel. I think I might get a bit of contact still on the arms at full lock, so a small spacer might be needed, but also I need to do the alignment anyway.

you sure that engine is a 4g63 and not a g63b - the truck looks great with those wheels.

Thems fighting words you yeller bellied Yankee!

Believe me though if it were taken at the house I previously owned it would just about fit, save for the horses. Dude with the firebird and el camino across the street. El camino is under a tarp, but is rusted and hasn't run in 20 years anyway. Guys next door with drums of used oil on the side of the house. At least when they fire up their old c10 it kills off all the Mosquitos.

Seemingly normal engine bay.

Sooplise!!! Hidden weber. Notice how I had to mangle the top to fit the shape of the original top.

I'm going to be welding up a new bottom plate for this so I can bolt the whole housing down to the weber. I'm not a fan of whatever filters they put on top of these webers. I'll probably even weld a little bracket up with a bolt welded in it so I can screw a nut down on the top as well. But that's for later on, right now it's running pretty good.

they make an adaptor for the top of a weber to fit the factory air cleaner - but its a little late for that now:lmao:

I actually have two more of the cans now. One courtesy of Brad, as I needed the clips since mine was missing the clips. So if you know where I'd source one let me know. I did some searching but never could find something that fit up just right.

Oh no! Stock Interiors? Good to know it worked for you, I got a carpet from them for my old Impreza, fit and looked like shit, looked like a flattened paper grocery bag. Ended up getting an OEM from Subaru. But if you say it fits our trucks, I'll be willing to try again. Their sound deadening material is super cheap.

As far as the stealth Weber, check out this Datsun guy, he used the snorkel air cleaner in place of the Weber filter, too.

http://community.ratsun.net/topic/10977-stock-air-cleaner-to-weber-mod/?p=223714

They say the round air cleaner housing is better because the snorkel draws cooler air from the front of the engine bay and doesn't get heat soaked like the Weber filter stuck in the back of the engine bay. Covering the bottom of the air cleaner with aluminum tape might cut temperatures a degree or three, too. I'd be interested in doing some dyno runs to see if helps.

The stealth factor is pretty trick.

Yeah I mean for the price I didn't expect I was getting perfection, with that carpet, but there are honestly no places that I noticed that the fit wasn't pretty much on. The backing just looks to be some rubbery stuff. I probably could just have done them same with some spray or roll on material, but I figured for the price, I'll just get it with it. And with the back panel still being just bare metal there's still plenty to be done if I really wanted to cut down on more road noise, but it's not deafening at 70mph on the highway and that's fine enough for me.
