HELP, I have an 87 Ram 50 that I want to work on, one of the issues though is that it has sat for 11 years, outside, without being started. I'd like to know everything that I would need to do to get her started/running again. Any advice would be appreciated!

Pull the plugs. put a small amount of oil in there. Top off the water. Change the fuel filter drain the tank fill with new gas, change the oil, and any bad lines, or belts. Drop in the new battery and crank here up. Then you can replace the other oils. brake, trany, diff, at your leisure.

Thanks for the info! Also at this point after sitting for so long, would it be better to rebuild the carb or ditch it and get a new one. I see a lot of users on the sight with weber carbs. Is it worth the switch?

You might just want to spray some carb cleaner in the bole vent. Other then that it should be good to go. You might be surprised, it could just fire up with no problems. Just keep an eye on the temp and oil pressure.

I would drain the coolant completely if for no other reason than to make sure it's not full of rust.
Just me, though.
