Very nice truck. Did you upgrade by replacing with another direct bolt on caliper or did you replace them with oem replacements? Welcome to the board.

Welcome to the site!

Looks good man, nice and straight, good stance. Is that a Geo Prizm behind your truck? Ironic, that was my last car before I got my truck. You got any pics of your upgraded brakes? Sounds interesting.

Dual pistons, nice. You have a year make model of the pistons? Sounds like ima order some for my max next month from napa. Or one day when I can drive it around.........

A new topic in the bolt on section would be in order.

Take the camera and put it in the truck. Then drive the truck to a place you can get some really nice pictures of it with out a lot of clutter. I want 1 good clean picture of it. No shiny window thing. Just one real clean picture. See the front page for inspiration. http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin/content.php

Caliper brackets. Are these oem to the mightymax or the montero? Still would like to know what year that montero as well as model.

How exactly is that working? It seems the pads are for larger diameter rotors so as they wear that would cause all kinds of noise due to the wear on the outsides. Have you found any larger diameter rotors that'll fit yet?

There is no noise from the pads i have been thru 3 sets of front pads no issue, if you try this setup you will find that the truck will stop a lot faster with out a lot of pedal pressure. I am still looking for a bigger rotor that works.

I'm sure the brakes are a great update and agree about less pressure which is a great point, but one thing with stopping faster. If your in a skid, your going to stop in the same distance either way with any caliper or disk. ABS might help with controlled braking, but who likes that pulsing when panic stopping.
Off subject: where did ya get those carbon fiber flaps? those look good on your already nice truck.

actually with these calipers the truck has only skid twice to a stop, 70mph to 0 and 45mph to 10mph, it skidded the last 2 feet like a car with abs would.the cf mud flaps i bought at a local shop. i will check to see if they have any more

Thanks, also see if they have a web site listing. They probably do if they are a decent size parts store.

Gawd I hope I never have to skid again in my truck, Nothing like seeing the ass end of the truck pass by in a split second

The mud flaps are eye lids or head light covers for a 2000-2005 eclipse
