Extended cab is now installed on 83 MM 4x4 diesel. Frame was extended 29-1/2" . Waiting for extended driveline. Driveline is now 2 piece from 87 2wd. xtra cab. Currently doing light body work to extended fiberglass portion. The 84 MM the xcab was removed from is now my temporary truck for work etc. I tried to make it as clean as possible without a lot of $ so maybe someone would consider buying it after diesel 4x4 extended cab truck is done. I will post many photos soon.

I believe best choice would be to make it a flat bed work truck. I know it looks weird. Tijuana is close to here. I couldn't get it to smog anyway. I seen a lot worse coming across the border many times.

I've never seen a extended cab first gen. The big window did look a little funky on there.

I sold it to ecology weekend before. I kept dually wheels and fenders because they are so rare. But don't plan to use them.

you wouldn't happen to have an extra exhaust manifold?

I have diesel exhaust manifold. Do you have need for air shocks for 2wd? I bought them about 18 months back, you can have them if you want.

I got a manifold already
took the window regulator and oil pan off this truck today. Gotta say I love my MM even more now that I can roll my window down all the way and rest my arm on the door haha

There was a company back in the day (early-mid 80's) that did extended cab conversions on several japanese imports. They were in Cali. I have vintage magazine (somewhere) which did an article on the company and their manufacturing processes. I believe that they were sold mostly on west coast. I lived most of my life in NJ and saw 1! As the japanese imports evolved in design and quality and they started to offer cab choices the companies went away. The Toyota was called a Custom Cab if I recall. If anyone needs further info, let me know and I'll get the magazine out.

There is one of these converted trucks in a JY about 50miles from me - it was an 86 4x4 - too much missing to try to save it. I wish I would have had a chance to buy it before it hit the JY
