Firstly this is my first post, a historic day. . .

I have a 1985 Mitsubishi l200, 2.0L petrol 2wd fully stock, im looking at lowering the front either by compressing the stock springs or investing in a set of lowering springs. i might be able to get a hold of a set of Lovell Lowering Springs from a 1988 l200.

my question is. . .

would anyone happen to know if springs from a 1988 l200 (2nd gen) would fit a 1985 l200 (1st gen)??

Welcome to the site. Interesting choice of name. So you are buying a set of used springs?

I put some Belltech parts on my first gen D50 to lower it. Here's the part numbers I tracked down and used on my truck, since most were only listed for the Mighty Max and not D50 (or L200 for that matter). Do you have any pics!?

-RHP

Part # 4270 Belltech coil spring set, 83-97 Mighty Max, 2.5" front drop

Part # 6200 Belltech lowering block kit, universal 3" block, blocks, u-bolts, hardware

Part # 8000, 8517 Belltech shock absorber, Nitro Drop 2 (front, rear)

I just put a set of the belltech 4270 springs in my 1980 truck - fit with no issues and it rides and handles nice.
