Ok I know that an auto transmission from a g54b will bolt up to a 4g64 as they both share the same wideblock pattern, but will the flex plate and torque converter also transfer over from the g54 to the 4g? Thanks for the help

They both have a Torqueflite 904 (3-Speed) or a Torqueflite A500 (Overdrive)? If they both have a 904, the Converter will swap. Likewise if both have an A500, the Converter will swap (just not between the 3-Speed and Overdrive, since the converters are different between the 2)
As far as the Flexplate goes, i don't know for sure.

Well what im thinking about doing is just swapping in a 4g64 because I can't legally swap my 4g63t. I don't have or know of a 4g64 around here yet but I just wanted to see what i'd need to bolt my tranny to the 64. Not sure what tranny I have now the firewall plate says AW372. Never heard of that tranny before.

What year is your truck and what motor? 2wd or 4wd? You may have an ansin auto 4 spd OD tranny - same as a Nissan 300zx. Not sure about the flexplate for one of those. If you can't use the 4g63t, can I have it - in PA they aren't as strict, especially if you have great friends inspecting them for you...

Glad things worked out. So, you going to document the swap this time? ;)

Don't know what there would really be to document, pretty much all I have to do this time is put it in and bolt/plug evrything up. But yea i will make sure to take a bunch opics this time lol, anything anyone would like to see specifically let me know.

I remember your old one that's why. Lol. I'm sure there's more then one guy doing or considering doing the 4g63 swap that's why. Wouldn't hurt to have extra pics. Lol. As well as helpful insight in the direction you took to get the motor in there. You'd be doing the board a favor is what I'm getting at.

Oh I know I will definitely be puting up a bunch of pics. I just wont have any of the fab pics or anything like that of the actual "custom work" that had to be done but ill be pictures of all of it.

Don't worry about the fab work. That comes with the direction the person doing the swap wants to go. Moving the engine forward, bashing in the firewall, or aftermarket kits that are available like the front exit thermostat housing. Cheap or flashy, ain't no "right" way to do the swap. Lol.
