has anyone installed a flame thrower kit for flames to shoot out your exhaust on command? i plan to have a single exhaust exit to the passenger side of the license plate. info i have gathered: plug electrode must be centered in exhaust pipe, not mounted vertically, & be approximately 6" from open end of pipe & works best on no-cat carburetor setup. http://www.autoloc.com/catalog/Flame-Thrower-Kits/Flame-Thrower-Kits/FLAME/Single-Exhaust-Flame-Thrower-Kit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VHQ8E9q5x8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VHQ8E9q5x8

I did not know they made these kits. Have heard of some old school guys putting a spark plug at the end of there pipe and running it off a toggle switch. Havent tried it but Im sure it would work. They always told me to make sure you dont let off the throttle while its on.

I thought they needed their own fuel supply to throw flames? I would doubt there's enough unburnt fuel in the exhaust to get ignition from a CO2 saturated air stream. Good for discouraging tail-gaters though :)

I have a similar setup I bought but haven't installed yet. Mine says to plumb a line from a propane bottle into the exhaust pipe upstream of the kit. The issue with that is is if you shut the thing down and you have no flame arrestors on the gas line, the flame can go back into the bottle and really ruin your day and vehicle. Old time flame thrower setups had carbs with manual chokes so they could richen up the exhaust gas for the flames.
