a guy at work has either an 85 or 86 yota 2 wheel drive sitting at his horder of a house...he said if i want to come out and get the hubs and rear end i can....its an hour away so i dont want to just drive out there if i dont need to...anyone know if it will work for a 5 lug swap?
if its a 5 lug axle then it will work and is the most common....just google it. i know those years had 6 lug..but i think they were the 4x4. i am getting one off of a 4x4...they came with disc more often too. also they are a 1/2'' narrower i think.

I believe the fronts will work no problem. The rear you may have to come up with a creative way to mount the rear end. Unless you got some fab skills to make the correct spring perch and custom drive shaft.

you will need spacers to line up the front calipers with the rotors on the front hubs, other than that its a direct swap. Get the rear driveshaft also so the u joint from the toy axle can be swapped onto the driveshaft.

I got mine rear out of a 93ish. Shouldn't be too much different. The driveshaft yoke didn't work for me as the yota u joint was bigger than the MM one. I had to redrill my yoke on the differential to match the bolt pattern on the driveshaft.
i think 2wd were 5 lug and the 4wd were 6 lug. check out minitruckin and they have a write up on it for the front. its so easy. and for the back i heard same as above....should just go on it will minor work....

on minitruckinweb.com Ernie Macais did the toy 5 lug swap front and rear on his truck and it gives a step by step on what needs done - he even put disk brakes on the rear with a downey off road conversion kit.

ya ive read it a few times BUT on hotrodcoffeeshop a guy did a swap and instead of spacing his calipers he had to shave the caliper bracket some....i think it was from an earlier model toy... im gonna grab the stuff...he is gonna pull the truck out this weekend from the barn and next week ill try to grab it if i have time. Im trying to get a stuff lined out for a build this winter...to be continued...
if it has front signal lights i need them both..lenses inserts..both complete...hook me up man..let me know what its gonna cost me. paypal is good. these parts are for my dad actually. let me know he needs them asap. 540 333 2246 text or call me..thanks kenny
