well my buddy picked up a truck for me since I was out of town 1990 mighty max 2.4 i checked it out before i left town it ran rough but body was clean and it was only 750$ so why not. The guy is a shade tree mechanic and told us it was this sensor on the throttle body that when he would unplug it, it would run slightly better. He was not sure of the name of the sensor and had three other vehicles so wanted to just sell it. I have some photos attached it has 5 prongs and on the bottom has a strange looking end. I have googled this a couple times and I could not find anything like it. Any help would really be appreciated. 1083010831.

No, that is not the throttle position sensor: I know, I just replaced one. I'm pretty certain it's the idle servo, but it doesn't look like the one on my '90 4G64.

Next guesser...

This is a year specific model sensor - this one production run of Mighty Max is an expensive and difficult engine management system to fix. What was Mitsubishi thinking... :shakehead:

Do you know what the sensor is called or anywhere I get it?
