Ive got a 91 max with the 3.0. It had a cracked head and 3 burnt valves in the other head. Ordered a new head and had the other rebuilt. Got the truck put back together and wouldnt start. So i did a compression test... cyl 1 0. Cyl 3 110. Cyl 5 125. Thought that maybe the old lifters were bad not letting the valves on num 1 close all the way. Bought new lifters, bench bled them and still nothing. Ive done everything i can think of and im getting no where..could the guy i had rebuild the head have done something wrong or? Im confused at this point

If the timing is set correctly on the cams to the crank it's going to be spark or fuel.
IDK how many times guys stick the distributer back in 180 deg out of time.
Start from the top and work your way back through it.
Set the crank and #1 piston at TDC recheck the cam timing.
Then look at the rotor and see if it's pointing to the #1 plug wire.
Crank and check for spark. If that works. Put a little gas is a spray bottle and spray it in the intake. See if it tries to start.
If so then it's fuel. It's just a matter of going down the list and marking things off. Take your time keep thinking you will always win. It will come together.
Was it running before it went down?

You will need to double check the marks in the book IDK the V6 all that well.
Look in the manual section> over 216 manuals> Hayns Montero manual. It covers your truck.
