I am currently looking around trying to figure out what good LSDs are available for my 92 MM. I want something that can handle a boosted 2.4 4G64 6 bolt, but I don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for it.
Anything y'all could recommend?

Power Brute LOM83 or the junkyard option of the LSD out of an older Montero, can't remember which one is compatible. Try searching, it's come up a few times.

the big thing your going to want to look into is probably going to be a hydro clutch set up. when people start cranking more power out of these engines (boost power) it will require a stronger clutch. and neither the cable or the firewall mount are really set up for it and will break over time

arb used to make an air locker for our trucks, but it may be discontinued. It was still listed on their site last time I looked...

What is an air locker?

an air locker is setup so that the diff is open until you apply air to the diff - top of the line montero sr models had them factory, but they are a 9" rear end, not 8" like our trucks. It can be swapped in to our trucks if you use the whole axle.

How does one identify one of these rear ends and differentiate between them and the one I have now?

Tag on the fill plug and orange tag on the door. Both reminding you to use LSD addative in your rearend when you change the oil

Ah cool. Would anyone happen to have a picture of them so I know what they look like? I'm going to a junkyard on tuesday and the more references I have the better.
