I did a dumb thing...

...and removed by distributor without marking the alignment of the rotor. This is on a 1990 with the 2.4 FI engine. What do i need to do to make sure the timing wont be off when i re-install the distributor?

Put the engine at TDC on the #1 Cylinder (Cam and Crank marks set),put the rotor on the Distributor to point at the #1 Position on the cap (remove the cap and paint a line on the base with white out). install and time the motor according to the manual...

That's the same engine as mine.

If you're not sure of TDC, pull the no.1 spark plug, and see if you can see the piston.
