I need to know everything on a 2.6L. I just acquired a 1989 Mitsu Mighty Max MarcoCab. Its a beautiful truck well in my eyes anywayz lol. Its grey in color and the interior is in great shape been kept cleaned and no rust anywhere and the only problem is the front bumper, headlight, and grille got the worse of it bashed up by the truck slightly hitting another car. The core support isnt dented at all (Lucky!) I bought the truck for $350 and I have all the replacement parts for it. Just to have the time to take the old parts off and put the new parts on. As I said a 2.6L with a 5 Speed runs well but it needs a tune up and possibly a timing chain replaced. Didn't know when the motor has been serviced so I dont want to take any chances of breaking down. Is there a PDF file or text book file that is downloadable or how ever is fine with me. Any tips and tricks too will be appreciated.
Thanks
Austin

Do you have a Chilton book for it, it has a picture of a montero but covers all of the monteros and mighty maxes I believe. My truck came with one when i got it. But I got a 2.0.
Here is a link to one http://www.autobarn.net/hay50500.html?site=google_base

What kind of information are you looking for exactly? Your question was kind of vague.

Autozone has on line repair manuals on our trucks, and they had this for years. You just need to sign up and become a member.
This link is for the 1st gen 2wd. trucks.

Haynes manuals suck bigtime - too many errors. Just go on ebay and buy a factory manual - its your best chance to get accurate info, although even they aren't always right.
