83 Ram 50 Disappearing Oil?! Help!

So I'm having a problem. The truck is currently straight piped I don't know if this affects anything. Over the last 2 days my oil light has been going off and on while driving. Today he had a hard time accelerating on the freeway so I checked the oil when I got to work and there was no oil registering on the dipstick. No smoke has ever come out of the exhaust and the engine doesn't leak visibly onto the ground. Is my engine burning oil? If it is what do I need to do?! I don't have any money to throw at him right now and he's the only vehicle I have.

fuel pump poorly tightened or gasket defective (they are famous for this....i have these if this is the cause & you are unable to locate)....although from the description above this sounds like an excessive losss. have you place a piece of cardboard on the ground to help determine location/locations?...any blue smoke from exhaust...what's the exhaust tip look like?....what do the plugs look like?

No blue smoke from the exhaust and I did place cardboard under him and nothing. No leaks what so ever. I'm going to pull spark plugs today to see what's going on. And where is the fuel pump located and why would that leak oil?

remove the air cleaner (assuming engine is stock). Fuel pump is located beside the carburetor...powered by the cam (that's why they leak)...try tightening the two 12mm bolts (gently).

I'll do that. And it looks like it's leaking from the oil pan/back of the engine. I went out this morning and there was a drop about the size of a quarter. First time I've seen any oil leaking from the truck.

okay, not sure what a 4g15 is. g63b engines have an oil passage next to #1 cylinder.
check #1 plug for oil, may be bad head gasket.

That's the kind or engine I have so I'll definitely check that when I get home tonight. Chuck is sitting in the driveway patiently waiting for me to fix him.
