Hope this is the right section to post this in.
I have a 88 MMM that I lowered yesterday. Cut a coil off the front and 3 inch blocks in the back. The front didn't drop much but I'm not cutting them any more, Ill just get drop springs. My question is the back is not as low as I want. I pretty much want the truck right on top of the tires, but I am concerned about axle movement and the frame because I don't have bump stops. Does anyone know how low you can go before you have to notch the frame? I used to have a 5/7 dropped s10 that obviously needed a notch. I have absolutely not interest in putting in a notch on this truck, its too clean to cut up.

I've had the back dropped about 5.5-6" just fine. Cut down the stock rubber bump stops so there is still a little meat left for them to absorb the bump of the axle into the frame. And I would only bottom out that low on super big bumps/holes.

I think you can either get another set of drop blocks or take out the middle leaf springs. Be good to have an angled block/shim so that the pinion angle isn't too bad.
