Hello everyone, I'm Matt, a gear head by nature. I have an opportunity to aquire as a package deal an 86 MM and an 86 d50, both running the 4d55t, identical trans, 5 speed manuals, 4x4's both fairly clean, for 800 obo. The MM threw a rod, the d50 broke a rocker arm for the second time. I'm really interested in the trucks, for spare everything mainly, and the cost. However I'm confused on part fitment trying to locate a cam and rockers, rebuild kits for the other motor etc. Will the cam and rockers from a 2.5l fit? Seller says yes, and they're 165-225 on ebay out of California... but idk... everything I have searched will not specify, a need a little help preferably before I take the 3 hr trip twice to pick up both trucks on an impulse buy. Thanks in advance for any and all help and info!

Track down Mike Warme or 4D55 Performance (Spencer).

Sounds like a pretty good deal at first blush.

Got pics of the specimens?

He did not get it but I did! The guy had a change of heart and i had to pay $1000.0 for the brown one but heck, its all original no rust and my dad bought one bew identical to it in 1983 so it brings very good memories. I couldnt see someone getting it and parting it out. Its gonna get a frame off restoration
