I got a sport cluster for my truck at the local scrapyard for a whole $15, the front see through cover had some cracks so I just traded it with the one from my old dash and drilled a hole for the trip odometer. I was wondering about the oil psi gauge, how should I wire it? I got the connectors from the old truck and just put the missing pins on mine, so they are the correct colors.

i want to say mine was pre wired for it,it goes all the way up when the key is on and all the way down with the truck running, its not supposed to read no oil psi though lol but yeah all of it worked

Ok, I got a sender from a sport mighty max today anyway, the one I had before was for a SBC 350.

pull out the light sending unit and put in the PSI unit
the cluster uses the same wire
and there is a white wire in the harness at the coil for the tack

Ok, I found out that the oil psi gauge was burned up, so I will probably just have to keep checking in the scrapyard until they get a sport Mitsu

I think there is, but the look identical.

that explains what mine does

yes, there are two different sending units. One just sends a signal to light up the bulb or not, the other one sends info to the gauge to show oil pressure

So thinking about yours, it does exactly what the light does, when you turn it on, it goes all the way up, so its getting the 12vdc that the light would, then when you start it is says L because there is no voltage going to it, but I bet if it runs out of oil it will say H. Also, I was messing with my dash, and you can see where there is an oil light option on there, I poked the plastic, scraped some off for the logic to contact the contacts on the bulb holder and then attached it, since my gauge is burned up, i just covered it with tape and went this route.

Cool, Now I know what I am looking for, Where is it located on a 2.6l engine? I know where it is on my 2.0, but it looks as if a 2.6 is in a different location. And the tach was probably the easiest things to wire up, I already had wired a Autogage tach, but I didn't like it too much

will be located in the same general area on a 2.6

be sure to flush the sending unit with either carb cleaner or charcoal lighter fliud to clean out the unit - the small hole plugs really easy and then you get a 0 pressure reading
