Hello, I'm new to the forum but love my d50. Where can I find an original headlight pull switch. Thanks for your assistance.

I have a brand new one but what makes you think you need one. Those are pretty bullet proof. Most people misdiagnose these trucks. The most common problem is the light relsy which is close to battery. Let me know if I can help. Your switch is specific to 79-82 and not universal to anything else

Hello there,

Unless its like broke in multiple pieces, first look at a possible solution I have.

I thought at one time my headlight switch was going as lights just came on half the time (used a 2000Lumes flashlight taped on hood once to get home lol), but what I did was took off the plastic cover on the steering wheel shaft (4 bolts I believe, then came off) Looked at the cluster of wires on the left driver side closest to the door and saw that one wire came loose (they are screwed in). Once you manage to find a screwdriver that fits in there (its hard to tighten, but possible, I recommend a dab of locktight on top, just for future sake) Might not be your problem, but better than a cost of a new switch. 😊

the 79 - 82 headlight switch is in the dash, not on the column. Had to help find one for trkdesigner as his was damaged by sandblasting the dash with the switch still in place. Took months to find one.
