Hi, guys. There are three adjustment screws looking viewed from the drivers side.

The bottom one near the base mixture adjustment. No problem.
The one above and to the left. No problem.

The one above and to the right. It's the small one. How many turns out should I start with? The screw I speak of is just under
the small brass pipe. 15794Thanks for any help guys.

Check the first gen manual I think it covers all of them.
One is mix another is like the metering and the other is bleed if I remember

The manual says not to temper with. Too late. I lost my starting point.

I would try this - wind in the air/fuel needle in the throttle base til it bottoms out (gently, or you could damage the tip of the needle) then adjust it out 3/4 of a turn to start off with. Then try adjusting the air bleed screw above it next to that vac barb in your pic until it starts to make a difference. This only affects the idle mix but if you can get an improvement on the idle you stand a better chance of adjusting everything else. If the air/fuel needle is sealed so it can't be adjusted - I got nada
