Those prices seem really high, I think I payed right around $100 for a cat for my Toyota pu and it was a Walker from local muffler shop.

Too bad them things have silver in them, the price would be lower I'm sure. You can get a decent return if you recycle them to the right place also.

$39.23
You will have to ship it to someone out of california and then to you.
Notes: UNIVERSAL -- Legal Note: Not For Sale or Use in the state of CA NY (vehicles with CA Emissions)
5 Year / 50,000 Mile Eastern Limited Warranty
California is a buger about these things and they probably get a cut of the profit when a licensed station installs one.
I noticed they have Eastern and Western versions also. hmm never knew this before.

Interesting, just researched the Walker & Magnaflow units ,both are C.A.R.B. approved for Ca.
Almost an $ 90 difference between the price !!! (Walker -about $110, pt # 80904, )
Both units have a 5 yr warranty ???so the diff is ???
Tylermm95---On the Magnaflow pt #'s
339003 is a 1.75" inlet & outlet,
339004 is a 2.00" ---,
339005 is a 2.250" ---,
And be careful, some exhaust shops (Ca.) will not install a convertor not purchased from them !!!
Pretty sure Your '91 is a 2" inlet & outlet.

86 is different from 87-96.
Since he is in CALI he needs a CARB compliant cat which is why they are so much more expensive than some of you may remember getting them for. So yeah you need to either buy a carb compliant cat or get one thats not CARB compliant shipped to someone not in Cali and then to you(It's illegal don't do it(disclaimer)), but then you CANNOT get it smogged without a CARB compliant cat, they look for the CARB numbers on the cat and run them to make sure it is legal in Cali and if you don't have it then you are SOL and fail.
Any CARB compliant cat will be fine, find the cheapest one that has the same size exhaust tubing and made for our trucks and you will be fine.
