Hi all I am new to the board and had a question. I have a 1987 d-50 i am trying to remove the transfercase on. I have all the bolts removed around the adapter and the shifters out, but when I try to slide it back the shiftfork going to the transmission is stopping it. Any help would be great.

In my 2wd (Same Tranny) there is a small pin that you have to take out of where the shifter cup attaches to the shift fork (If that makes since at all) I pushed mine out with a small flatblade and a hammer, then I believe it will slide off. Just look on the shift fork and you will eventually see the pin I am talking about.

It's a KM100 Transfer Case, and it can be found in front of the KM130 4-Speed Manual Transmission, The KM132 5-Speed Manual Transmission (goes by the name KM145 if it's a 4WD model), the MA904 3-Speed Automatic (A Chrysler Torqueflite 904. Goes by the name KM146 if it's a 4WD model) and The A500 4-Speed Overdrive Automatic (A Chrysler A500 Torqueflite Overdrive) I can't remember the name that one goes by in the D50's
The KM100 has a 2.0 to 1 Gear Reduction (4-Low) and a 1 to 1 Gear Ratio (2-High/4-High)
