I came across these totally by accident. Does anyone have any idea where they came from? They're wider and more rounded than the OEM 2nd gen flares. I'm wondering if they're John Baker flares. This is very close to the look I want for my truck.

I've got no idea if this is current or not. It was a chance find while browsing Google Images.

Looks like it's an outdated link to a Copart auction. Copart auctions cars and trucks off to licensed car dealers and junkyards. Cars go pretty low, but unfortunately not just anyone can get in on those auctions.

That's too bad. Truck looked decent and even if it wasn't running or had bad cancer, there was a heap of good salvage for the price :shakehead:

They are they Bushwacker brand flares. Have a set for on my truck. According to their website, they are part number 50901-01. They are good quality and excellent fit. I painted and stripped them, but you can also leave them black as the way they are delivered.

I looked up that part number. Looks like a semi-universal part. It says it fits every truck Dodge made from 82 until 93. D50s all the way up to the 350. I wonder how much it has to be trimmed to fit the fenders properly?

If I recall, it was many years ago, there is a standard part number but the flares you get are for the Ram50 1987 on. They fit like a glove no fab work at all. Just scuff and paint (used a flex agent primer) or you can leave them black they are molded in (sort of a semi gloss if I recall). I would call Bushwacker directly. Hint: Install the top center bolt as the first one to allow a good fit to the radius of the wheelwell. I bought stainless screws and rubber sealing washers with a dab of silicone on each to prevent rust.

Well that's cool. Hopefully they still make them. Thanks!

Wouldn't Comanche or Cherokees, the square bodies, flares go well on our trucks, i seen some in the yard and the and it looks as tho they have the same contours as our trucks

I looked at Cherokee flares a few months ago. Besides not being what I want aesthetically, I think they'd need too much trimming to fit the vertical contours of the Mitsu fenders. They're cheap and common enough to be worth hacking up a few to try though.
