Most came with 3.909, but some did come with 3.454 and 4.22. There us a tag on the firewall that will tell you your rear end gear ratio

Thanks , does tag on firewall need to be decoded or does it state actual rearend ratio? Thanks Jeff

This is for a 3000GT, but the format is the same for the trucks.

You want the 3rd line where it says transaxle. This example has a W6MG1 transmission, and a 3.307 rear axle.
That tag on my 1992 4x4 says V5MT1 4222. So it's a V5MT1 trans with a 4.222 axle.

If there's no tags or you think it might not be original you can Jack the rear end up and turn the driveshaft and count the number of times the wheel turns
Use something to mark the tyre and spin the shaft 10 times for more accuracy
