View Full Version : Is 1991 Mighty Max 2wd engine 100% identical to 1993's engine
I got a 1991 MM 2WD donor vehicle for my 1993 MM. Looks like the air filter and MAF sensor are quite difference. Just wondering is the engine and tranny are 100% identical and interchangeable.

1991 engines are a 6 bolt flywheel/crank, the 1993 engine is a 7 bolt flywheel/crank. there are many differences. but as far as fitment and tranny's it's ok. if you do a complete swap ok, but you can't just swap some parts around.

If you install the intake manifold and distributor from your 93 engine onto the 91 engine you will not have any difficulty with different electrical bits.
