I have finally finished my first ever rebuild. I would like to thank this forum and all its members for providing the info and experience that helped me git 'er done.
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. :)
The bigger trouble was chasing down oil leaks afterwards. I would plug one up and another would appear. But I seem to have them all covered now.
I'm still working on 500 miles of break in but after about 250 she is running great. There was a small vibration at idle but that has faded out and she's smooth as butta!
I wanted to get some hills underneath her so I took her to the lake today.
Do, do, do, lookin' out my back door.
