Hey guys i came across this forum by accident... im glad i did and i hope you guys can help. My name is Fermin i have a 1989 Power RAM D/50 4x4 and this is my problem. The prior owner installed a NEW weber carburetor when i bought her. he said it was running rough but all it needed was a tune-up well to make the story short i gave her a complete tune-up (Plug wires, spark plugs, oil changed, radiator flush, New cap and rotor) in the morning she starts NO PROBLEM, leaving the house there is power however if i step on the gas all the way she stalls, if i gradually give it gas she will rev but when it gets to wide open it dies, after driving her for a while once turning it off it has a hard time starting again. i open the gas cap to release the pressure and she starts again. has anyone gone through this or anyone have any idea? thank you in Advance......

sounds like a fuel filter and the vent system is plugged up. Is it pressure in the tank, or is it a vacuum? Fuel filter is under the filler on the frame rail. Try that first and see how it runs. It might be just that. Look at the cap and see if it's vent is plugged or covered. Some pressure is normal but a vacuum is bad. Once you get the filter and vent out of the way we can look at jetting the carb.
