Help! Is my output shaft bent?

So I noticed that when i pulled my engine my output shaft was pointed down relative to the bell housing. Is it supposed to be that way? If not I will replace the bearing with a bushing. I noticed it on both the 82 and 87 but they both had different transmissions.

if you grab the shaft and it has play - the input shaft bearing is shot. easy fix.
