hi all,
I think I got the last of fancy stuff done today. I had drawn out some new vinyl and finally got around to cutting it. I had taken off the black stripes a while back and replaced with the orange, and so I needed to replace the black tailgate lettering with orange to make it all match.
The truck is named Rona so naturally, I had to draw out her name in dodge lettering and print that also.
I'm gonna take her to cars and coffee next month so i'm trying to get her all fancied up.
if anyone wants the vector files, just shoot me a message.
here's the after:

Looks great! I love the decals from that period, they really had fun with it back then, and these look like OEM. Good job.

Looks Factory  Hello RONA

Can the DODGE RAM vector files be attached to an email..? I never had graphics done before; what might a graphics shop charge to make DODGE RAM if I send them the vector files..? How hard are they to apply & what might a graphics shop charge to apply the DODGE RAM..? Anyone know the original color of the DODGE RAM tailgate logo on a white 1986 Dodge Power Ram50..? I've seen a few photos online with a brownish colored logo, not black..?

Thanks for posting & Thanks for any answers everyone...

Based on this very clean example I'd say you're right. It looks like a brown/gold color, to match the interior.

Do 2nd Gen as well?

That'd be great. I haven't seen many graphics on 2nd gen other than the stripes on the lower part of the body. The only variation I've seen is this door. Maybe graphics weren't as popular in the late '80's/ early '90's as they were before?

I teach at FSU and have free access to a vinyl plotter. I do all the vinyl for the accademic museum so yeah, i've got some experience. laying it on cars is 100% easier than drywall, i'll say that! I'm not sure what they'd charge at a shop, our plotter uses a program called MacSign to read an adobe illustrator file. I know other folks will use Corel for vector graphics. I can absolutely attach the file to an email. I can export it in a bunch of formats. just shoot me a message and we can exchange emails if you're interested.

How swell..! Or can you make em at school w/o getting in trouble 'n USPS Large Flat Rate box it to Hawaii..? Are the letters individual or the words DODGE RAM all one long piece..? Just wondering if they need to be cut out or trimmed, etc... PM soon...

You just made my day Mister..!

Wow, Kelly! That's really cool of you, thank you.
The only thing is that those graphics are from a 1st gen, mine is 2nd and the look is a little different. I posted that picture because I think those are cool graphics, sorry for the confusion. For the 2nd gen trucks the graphics were not as interesting, and the only ones I've seen is that "4X4" cutout of the stripes on the door.

Thanks again, I hope someone with a 1st gen can use this, and posts pictures.
