He'd be proud. Engine is a 2.4 4G64 BTW if you want to edit your info. Any other plans for your truck?

Tks @geezer101! Updated! Some type of sound system is next.
Engine wise it runs well so not messing with it as long as it does. Maybe fun to drop something with a bit more power in it at some point.

Na, I just painted the inside of the cab and did all the body work prep. The truck was painted by a shop.

If you are thinking about doing it yourself I have seen people use a $15 purple harbor freight gun for paint and clear and get great results I'm sure you can find a few videos on YouTube on best clear and paint mixture to use here soon after seeing this paint job kinda makes me wanna attempt it myself lol

Long as you have the right spray nozzle for the paint you're using and you have a clean air supply with an oil/water separator most compressors will manage it (a low volume tank just takes longer as you don't want to be spraying when the compressor kicks on) The biggest key is getting the mix of paint to thinner ratio right. Paint drips off the stirrer - too thick. Paint rushes off the stirrer - too thin. If it 'flows' off the stirrer you're in the ball park. Seen guys try to paint using the recommendations off the can and ended up spraying coloured water - waaay too thin. And ambient temperature plays a big part in finish. Don't want to paint when the air is cold, really hot or humid for a DIY job. Bugs in the paint are optional lol :P

painting is a delicate balance
i bought a harbor freight 'purple gun' years back. "Great results"? lol. Nah 'ok', it's all relative
I've painted quite a few vehicles. Just done a big Mack truck for a cousin.
Wasn't into it, but got it done. He & guys at his company raved over it. Decent job

Took on bodywork to build skills for my personal hotrod projects. Into glass paint jobs & suttle graphics
Cut and buff gets desired results.... a bit of work.
When I see a 'good looking' finish "off the gun"(as here), I usually ask about the gun and clearcoat
Makes a big difference. Looking to improve that area. About to buy my first big name(Devilbis) spray gun

Spray painting a car is a big job and a lot of work. A truck? Hell no, wouldn't wanna try it...

I tried one of those cheap paint guns

it worked i guess, wdidnt feel quite right but paint came out of it and layed down flat enough. I mainly have it for stuff that might abuse my better guns

i was using an iwata, but am now using a devilbiss GTI, and i quite like it.
Painting isnt really hard, you just think about what you are doing, if the paint doing on is doing something you dont want it too, stop and think about why that is, and adjust what you are doing
solid colours are really forgiving tho, plus you can do single stage and not worry about clear (i normally do clear over here because of the amount of UV light we get which eats paint pretty quick)
