I am currently in the process of an overhaul for a 1992 Mighty Max, 2.4L 4g64 8V 6-bolt. My question is where can I get head bolts? I bought the head off another Mighty Max and it didn't come with the bolts. I saw online that eBay and some parts stores carry them for a 4g64 and 4g63, but also read that the bolts are different lengths between both heads. If someone can clarify and point me in the right direction of getting bolts, that would be appreciated. TIA

In a similar situation, hoping an answer. I can't locate bolts anywhere. I've heard that forklift bolts work for the 8v 4g64 but I'd like to hear that from someone who's used them.

Looks like ARP has head bolt and stud kits for the 4G63 (2.0L), can only guess they might also be suitable for the 4G64 (2.4L) as well:

Unfortunately
The 4g63 SOHC head bolt cannot be used in place of the 4g64
SOHC (8 or16 valve) head bolt .

SOHC 8V / 12V 4G63 -MD040514 - 12 X 105 MM
SOHC 8V/16V 4G64 -MD191472 - 11 X 118 MM

I have contacted ARP technical and was rather curtly informed
" we do not manufacture anything for that engine configuration "

The 4g64 8v forklift bolts are a direct fit as most are the MD191742 PART NUMBER
just rebox/bag with large variance of pricing, always to the increase side of course.

However, the below are available in multiple groups from
MITSUBISHI DIRECT PARTS in Florida 1-368-259-1599.
I just called--- 8/10/2022, an checked availability as my order
(PIC BELOW) was 2 weeks old.
