Hello all,

I've been trying to get the A\C to work on my '91 MM for a while now and finally got the compressor to engage last night, only to find that it has a pretty bad leak around the shaft seal. My first thought was to just replace it with a rebuilt unit, but after doing a lot of searching, I can't find any available. Checked RockAuto, Amazon, eBay, AutoZone, O'reilly, etc. Does anyone know of a substitute model I could get? Or is there a reseal kit available for the OEM compressor? I need my A\C! LOL

TIA
-Eddie

I know on the v6's you can swap out newer versions from Monteros and Montero Sports prior to gen 3's.

The PO for my '87 2.6L had replaced the compressor with an R134 version by the time I bought it, will see if I can find any ID #s on it.

EDIT: Alas, no labels or IDs/#s on it I could spot.
