My self I like the different color bumper. Unless it's camo like my truck.

I originally painted the grill and bumper to match the truck and this is what it looked like.

I will probably do the bumper in body color but keep the grill black this time but not sure yet.

This is what it looks like all in black primer.

Did you use a special black for the bumper? Matte? Semi-Gloss? etc?

powder coat, rock chips make bumpers look terrible. Then put a clear coat for some protection.

I've used this stuff before on small trim pieces, goes on evenly and comes out nice.

They also make bumper coating that might be good for plastic bumper covers because it's designed to flex.

I was thinking about painting the bumper black on my '93 Ram 50 and add clear coat.

be sure the clear coat has flex addtive in it to survive on a plastic bumper, or it will look like it was blasted with a shotgun in short order

I used a regular 2 part automotive clear on by stock plastic bumper, just use some adhesion promoter. It may have had the addative in it, but I never noticed or looked for it directly. Its been holding up perfect for nearly 2 years.
