    Cars of my past.

First up is my 1992 honda civic. This was my third car and I bought this around late 2003. Its a lx auto model, no ac.

First engine, I bought it broken. D15b7 auto.

Second engine, B18b1 integra 5 speed swap.

Third engine, B16a Civic dohc vtec.

I had lots of fun with it, and went turbo. Blew it up though.
Fourth engine, B18c1 integra gsr, b16a head, skunk 2 goodies turbo.

Blew this one up too. Its the reason for my user name.

That was the last time I recomended the b16 to honda enthusiest. To me, they were awesom with the b16 trans. With the gsr trans it couldn't hold my coupe with my second motor shown.

What about the h23 in a 92 prelude si (non vtec) - mines a pulling beast, all stock and a mere 200K on the odometer

I liked the h series motors but there was a little more involved then just bolting on. If I was to go with the h series swap, it would have had to be the h22 dohc vtec motor with a h to b adapter plate with either the b16 transmission with na torque multiplication due to the shorter gears or the gsr trans. The plate would help me keep the trans mount oem as well as the oem cv shafts or upgraded ones. Also eliminates the need to run shift cables. My plans were to swap the 4th motor out into a Honda crv with the turbo and scrap the shell. Things changed when I felt the pull of a awd Dsm turbo.

there was alot of work into putting an h in my crx. i used the entire swap, cut this move that, bend this over, weld here and add some plates, and viola....well it wasnt that easy....but it was worth it....i like to build, fab, cut, and experiment....

I like the bolt on, easy replacement stuff. Makes things easy to revert back when project either comes to a stop, must sell, or sell unimportant things that can be replaced.

The prelude is the first Honda I have owned; but my friend who races them prefers the non vtec h23 because of the much lower rpm torque band. Remember too, I live in Pittsburgh, and you need torque to pull the hills around here without revving it to the sky.

A dsm would have cleared the hills no problem. There's a guy on dsmtuners that uses his first gen to pull a small boat. I'll update this with other cars when I have time. I gotta find pictures.

This one would be my 5th car. Its a 1994 civic ex coupe. The only picture I had of it.

This is how I came across my third motor in the 4 door. I bought this with the jdm version of the b16. I pulled the engine out of this and dropped in my integra ls engine. Bad move on my part, the b16 was slower. I sold this car with the ls swap, a 6.5 dvd player, front upper strut bar, rear upper strut bar, rear lower tie bar, c pillar bar, del sol seats. All for 2500.

I like the crx cause of it's so compact. Would have been better if they incorperated the rear seat into the us market. I like the del sol more the. The earlier crxs though cause of the targa top and the rear window rolls down. Something of a must if the car doesn't have ac. All I would have to do is keep the vents on full blast and rear window down to prevent the windows from fogging. Lol.

I don't think I have any engine shots and can't really get em any more. I sold this a little over a year ago. I had this with a 1998 integra gsr with a b16 LSD trans. Also manual swapped from auto. Skunk 2 cams, skunk 2 intake manifold, skunk 2 coil overs with tokiko blue shocks, carbon hood and spoiler, 99 civic si front strut, jay racing rear c pillar bar, nuspeed rear lower tie bar, and the apexi power fc I brought over from my 4 door. Ima get pictures soon. I gotta search my old pc for pictures.
