    sooty exhuast and boggy throttle

Hey all, I"m green to this forum, just got a 88 2.0 ram 50, ultra clean truck with only 54k on the clock

elder owned until I was gifted it from a family neighbor

bogs down bad on hills of any kind, and didn't fair well on a high trip, had to slide over to breakdown lane and will the old girl of the next ramp with curses and embarassment laughter, but I digress...

stumbles 3/4 throttle to full throttle in park and bogs under load at 1/2 throttle and beyond and just saw today that it blows sooty black exhaust

    so its running rich right......

stock everything, so do I need to rebuild the carb? or do I just need to clean the heck out of it

I've already changed the PCV valve, put in a tank of hi test gas in and a bottle of seafoam to work its magic, and also am gonna do fuel filter

beyond the carb what else would throw it to being so rich? and does the bogging go with the sooty exhaust?
