do you have a schematic of that - I am thinking of maybe doing a swap into the 86 project truck

Interesting, I used a AEM ECU for the Turbo Eclipse to get control of the timing and injector sizing etc... That why I eliminated the distributor and used the eclipse dual coil, igniter and Throttle body. IIRC I only had to add 2 wires and re-pin the ECU Plug to move some existing.... ben a while, that was in 08

I may have missed it somewhere, but what if any internal mods do you done to the motor and how many PSI do you think STOCK internals will hold reliably with your turbo?

I am planning on turboing my 91 but wont be running alot of boost. I dont want to make alot of power, I just miss the sounds of a turbo since selling my turboed Probe GT and since I cant buy another one right now I figured I may just throw a turbo on the truck.

All stock motor I would run 5-6 psi MAX. You should be fine at those boost levels.

Sorry to post again but just had one more question. What is the best way to control fuel on a budget? Would I be safe just running the stock ECU with a adjustable or rising rate FMU with stock injectors to run around 5-6 PSI of boost and use a wideband to keep track of AFR? I have most of the other parts to piece together a turbo kit that I have accumulated over the years I just need to deal with fuel management as cheaply as possible now.

it is never a good idea to go cheap on fuel systems on a turbo motor - one lean out under boost and you can kiss the motor goodbye. Do it right and you will save money and your motor. Look for a megasquirt or other setup from a abandoned project car and use it to run the motor.

If you can find a apex safc and wire it in, might have the cheapest way to control fuel and add bigger injectors. What it does is modify the maf reading and adding or subtracting a value to increase or decrease fuel. Not the best but it's something.

For that low of boost, 4-5psi, I think fuel would not be an issue. But, never hurts to be prepared. I would swap all the stuff and run a dsm turbo ECU, that give you alot of room to play. I was ganna just start at 2-3 with a wideband and see how high you can go on a stock set up.

That would be awesome if you could do that, I know tons of people want to know how much boost the 4g64 can take stock.

I'm kind of curious why you didn't swap your TB over with a 60mm or even one with a better orientation?
