I got to look at that wheel and say, "damn that would hurt my face in a front end collision". My next line would be, "That is a really nice wheel and looks great!!"
An accident would injure you none the less since there are no airbags . but thank you for the compliment.
Very Nice! Very nice indeed!!
Added a quick release. total for hub and quick release $ 40.00 . it sits perfectly. I was worried about hitting the wiper switches before.
Added pics..
I think if I had the quick release, I would be fiddling around going down the road and suddenly pop the wheel off in traffic. Still is a great idea and keeps a thief from thinking your property is his now. Where did you get the part for the quick release?
BTW these trucks from 82 on have collapsible steering columns to prevent injury if you hit the steering wheel in a collision...Grant used to sell a quick release back in the 80's for their wheels as an anti theft measure - even came with a hub cover when the wheel was removed.

No I thought about that to but it's solid it's not going to pop off unless you really try and then again you would have to stop to even attempt to remove it.
It's a sparco rep. quick release.

? Did not know that pennyman thanks. I really bought it as a spacer from my wiper / light control switches not for the quick release but all of it is just added security. All of it is metal no plastic and does not feel cheap like most knock off China replica things.
Be very careful with China knock-offs. There is a reason why they are inexpensive.
One new popular thing is knocking off a knock-off. NRG is a knock-off of Keys and there is an NRG knock-off. They are made from extremely low grade cast alloy (like crappy pot metal), machined extremely fast, and sold as "billet in their descriptions. The cheaper the price is, the more crappy the metal is. That stuff will snap like crouton without hesitating.
You may really want to consider something not as chinese for something like steering. Other parts, sure - save some dollars.
Taken into consideration. this thing is solid . I have seen YouTube videos of the cheap knock off nrg steering wheels and hub releases but this is solid and also have a friend that's had this no problems . I agree it's hit or miss with Chinese products.
There are a lot of products being made using company brands illegally at a unbelievable rate. I see Sparco (named) stuff on EBay all over the place and it is obvious that the actual company did not make it. Surprises me that it is allowed on EBay, but EBay just wants the sellers money and is turning into a ball of crap anyway by allowing ads to post more and more lies. EBay is starting to run neck and neck with Craigslist and won't be long before EBay allows postings of Escort Services I'm sure.
