clutch question
Hey guys what are some ways to tell if u need to replace your clutch?

Chatter and slipping are obvious signs. I remember my manual trans teacher telling us to do a stall test. First step is to check clutch pedal freeplay, then to start car/truck and place in high gear. 4th recomended. Bring out clutch without reving the engine. If the engine stalls then clutch is still serviceable. Doesn't means it's slipping. You can also drive at 15 mph to 25 mph, place gear in 4th and wot (wide open throttle) and see if there any fluctuations in rpm indicating slip.
