Gas tank

I'm in dire need of a new gas tank for my 1991 Ram 50. There are zero Ram 50/Mighty max in all of the wrecking yards in Ontario Canada.

I see there are lots of sources for the carb tanks from 1979 to 1990... but no replacement tanks for the FI ram 50's

What is the main difference? Baffles?

Anyone near the Detroit/Port Huron area of michigan have a parts truck with a tank ?

If I have to I will get it repaired.

right now it is my only daily driver so I need to have a tank ready to swap..

Any suggestions?

Fuel Pump & Return are the main differences between the tanks.

I have also thought about making a stainless tank for behind the axles. My friend just made on for his Dart but its making sure the return and vents are correct for the fuel injection that I am worried about

You can make one if you don't need to worry about SMOG. The second gen tank is a hard to find unit.

I have to get it smog tested ever 2 years but onky curb idle test.
I was thinking about a Montero tank but they are just as hard to find as the Ram 50/Mighty Max tank.

For the cost of a southern tank I coukd have one built.

how bad is it - there are kits to seal tanks that work well from Eastwood and Por15.

My tank was a disaster. I used the Por15 kit. It's been holding up for several months now.

I called my local and he did a search, they go nationwide, he found two both for short wheel base truck. He says the computer told him the long wheel base was a different tank.
