    Tube Front Coming Together!

    Finally knocked out the majority of the tube front last weekend. I got everything bent up and thankfully my buddy was willing to TIG it all for me (I only have a mig).Tubing is 1-5/8" and 1-1/4" DOM .120" wall thickness. Used removable tube clamps on all junctions, so the entire thing (minus the protrusion bars going through firewall) are removable for ease of engine repair/replacement. Still need to add brackets/hood pin provisions/etc etc but she's getting there. Will have a new firewall and bolt-in sheet metal fenders as well. Bars go through firewall and tie into roll cage. Paint and assembled motor coming soon! just thought I'd throw it up!

    Impressive to say the least The simplicity of the rear frame and fuel tank has made it look really uncluttered. You could get creative with the factory fuel filler door now that it's redundant and hide something in there like a socket for a 12V inverter etc.

    thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! I've got the battery sitting underneath the bed below the fuel door, so I went ahead and put some jumper terminals in there.

    that fuel cell setup is impressive, very minimalistic, and the jumper point is a very nice touch! never seen that before! stay innovative my friend!

    thanks a lot! Yeah I had my eye on this cell for a while. It's a little pricey, but since everything is contained inside, you just hook up the feed and return/power and ground/level indicator and you're good to go. It's got an eliminator pump in it which supports almost 900 on ethanol, and over 1400 on non-alcohol fuels. The inside is baffled so by running this, there's no need for a surge tank and multiple pumps. Cost ends up about the same after you plumb everything. I appreciate the kind words!

    thanks! if you've got the ceiling clearance, I highly recommend it! This thing only cost me a little under $2k (significantly less than I thought they cost) since I picked it up and installed it myself. Definitely worth it.

    I wish. I'm thinking it'll be around 27-2800 lbs when its done. Still has AC, electric PS, fully sound deadened interior, etc etc. Hoping its still fast haha. Thanks for the compliment!

    Damn nice work keep it up. You'll have to get the truck weighed when you're done as mine weighs 2356lbs with the 302/AOD in it and a full tank of gas (17us Gallons).

    I don't suppose you thought to make a pattern for the pieces you've cut and bent? That might be something other guys would buy to offset your costs.

    sadly I haven't worked on it in like 7 months Been traveling for work since may, however Im about to be home in a week and the truck will be my only focus. Hoping to have it running by January but who knows haha.

    I thought about this at first, but honestly I've never seen anyone else take a mighty max this far, feel like the demand isn't there.

    Heavily modified MM's are far and few between. Most of them are focused on engine/drivetrain swaps or suspension mods like air or multi link and coil over. If you tried this in the mid 90's there would've been guys lining up with fistfuls of cash begging you to take their money.

    yeah exactly. plus I kinda planned mine/kinda did it as I went, and there are so many different rad setups and stuff that it would be tough to create one that fits everyones needs.
