Oil pump key

Does anyone know what the dimensions of the oil pump woodruff key are? I lost mine and need a new one, or would a homemade one suffice?

Would the oil pump wooddruff key from a 1988 MM be the same size? Also you do mean the steering gear oil pump right?

No, the oil pump for the g54b is run off the timing chain and has a woodruff key to keep the sprocket aligned

Can't see why a home made key wouldn't do the job. Plenty of old timer mechanics made their own keys out of stock and ground it down to fit.
