Hi and welcome to mightyram. I think you'll be sourcing a used one - my searches came up with nada for a new unit. A nutty suggestion - modifying a front bar from a Volvo 240. They're about the same size and you get the added bonus of an integrated air dam. A bit of butchery to install the turn lamps and they wrap a fair distance around the corners of the truck. AFAIK it hasn't been done before.

Checking my parts book. The bumper like above, with the smaller square indicators was optional for truck types LO21P. Available in silver (not chrome I'd imagine, painted only)
    Mitsubishi part number MB120745

    Possible source

(I believe these guys have all the old mitsubishi tooling, pretty sure my reproduction replacement front fender came from them)

So this bumper would be harder to find? Because it wasn't standard on any models

From what I can tell, the LO21P model was for the south American market

That sucks. Well thanks for the help. I'll try to retrofit something from other vehicles.

Maybe your best chance is yahoo japan. Or get one of those more common bumpers and modify

To open up your parts listings, look up Mitsubishi L200 MA-MD, Plymouth Arrow, D-50, Ram-50 and Mitsubishi Forte which is the JDM model (they are also sold under the 'Animal' and 'Savanna' names - years of production from 79-85).

What am I missing that makes everyone think this is not just the First Gen bumper that came on the red truck in the picture ???
It looks exactly like any First Gen bumper.

They used to be available on eBay ,,, Does Mike still have any left ? Is it Really that hard to find one ???
(guess I'll have to start looking)

That's strange my 81 has that bumper but I couldn't find new lenses so I did some custom work to it. There is a pic in my thread in the first gen section.

Hmm, maybe there's a difference between the Plymouth Arrow and the D-50. It's likely - one way to determine which truck is which...

That bumper is the same on all 79 - 82 D-50, Ram, and Arrow trucks. The differences were whether they were argent silver, black, or chrome, based on the trim level of the truck. 83 - 86 trucks have a taller bumper that extends down further than the early bumper, and uses different brackets, turn signals, and end caps.

Here's all the factory options in 81 for all badge models.

Dealers could do extras (white with matching white sport wheels or billboard and brush guards over here)

The middle one (with square-er turn signals) is what's on my 80 arrow.

Tortron's book is for a different market than the US - there were different models there we never saw here. The middle one is the only one we got here.
