Trying to find ideas for either a winch mount or a front bumper with an option for a winch. I'm thinking of welding up a simple winch mount but can't seem to find anything on the web for a MM.

There won't be. Maybe look up something for a Montero/Raider etc. But I think it'll have to be made up specifically to fit the Max frame.
They were available aftermarket in the 80s. Best to build one these days I'd say
Getting one made up through a company is not gonna be cheap. And if you do, steer clear of this mob - "Tactical Armor Group". You may not get your order and when you do, you might wish you hadn't...

If you can find a decent used winch and know of a fab shop that can make you up something, give them your specs/idea and get them to cut and weld it up for you. Paint it yourself or get it powder coated. Integrate your own lights (some eyeball roasting LED's off ebay) and you'll have a nice bit of bespoke equipment for your truck
Either make the whole thing. Or grab a small one off something else

^that is a good read regardless of the winch transplant. He's getting some fierce fuel economy out of it and tons of powaaaah. It's a freakin' cool truck too.

I figured anything made for a MM is long out of production and near nonexistent. But I definitely like the cut down arb look I'd say that is a lot of extra weight on my poor wore out torsion bars. I'm no professional welder but I've been trying to visualize something I could weld up to work. I made this one for my hummer.

Could get an alloy one.
look for one from an 80s-90s Cherokee - they are about the same width, then mod from there...

Here's what I did for my bumper. The tow hooks are on 1"x 2" pieces of bar stock that run all the way back and tie into the bumper mounts. We have a plate that bolts onto them to mount a winch. It fits in there quite nicely, if I can ever get around to buying a winch for it. That may be a little more involved than you want to do, but I hope it at least gives you some ideas!
