Finally got everything back together enough to crank it over. Starts right up,but no oil pressure. Does the oil system need to be primed or something? Remanufactured 2.0 g63b long block [Power pro engines] Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I have seen people pack the oil pump with grease or vasaline to prime the pump. The oil pump drives from the lower balance shart belt; did it slip off? Also be sure you have a good seal from the oil pickup to the pump or it won't draw out of the pan.

Does it knock and rattle like it has no oil pressure or does the gauge just not read, or light stay on. If the motor sounds smooth it is probably the sensor.
put on a manual oil pressure gage and confirm the problem.
